Sunday Update: May 16

Sunday update

Whoops, missed a week…. and it’s Monday. Well, all I can say is that it’s the end of the school year and things are crazy. My kids have started their first year of swim team and the daily practices are a killer! Though it does give me a lot of time to read while hanging out at the pool, at least!

Here’s the WWW Wednesdays questions from Taking on a World of Words:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

The Stardust Thief
Currently reading: The Stardust Thief – Chelsea Abdullah

I just started this one (hahaha so behind on ARCs) but it’s pretty good so far. I was completely sold when I heard it was a retelling of 1001 Nights and I’ve heard absolutely rave reviews about it so far. It’s a debut as well! Not much else to say since I’m not that far into it, besides that I can’t wait to pick the book up again!

All Fired UpRecently finished: All Fired Up – Dylan Newton

This is so, so cute that it absolutely made me melt. It’s a sequel of sorts to How Sweet It Is starring Kate’s best friend, Imani. Like Kate, she’s a list-making always on the go woman who’s focused on her goals… except now that she’s been offered a coveted promotion, she’s not sure she wants it. Imani’s hoping that taking the summer off to spend time with her grandmother will help her find some clarity… if only she didn’t keep running into Zander, the hot, Peter Pan live-in-the-moment guy she hooked up with at Kate’s wedding. This is a perfect summer read!

Bloom Where You're PlantedUp next: Bloom Where You’re Planted – Darby Baham

This cover is so different from the usually category covers that it really caught my eye. Plus the subject matter – the heroine feeling like she’s stuck in a rut while the rest of her friends are moving on to new and better things – really strikes a chord with me. I’m very much looking forward to this one!

That’s my snapshot of my current reading! What’s next on deck for you?
