Sunday Reading Updates – December 31, 2017

Happy New Year, everyone!

These updates took a back burner since October, when we had a death in the family, but I wanted to start them up again for the new year.  I’ve finished a few books that I haven’t gotten reviews written for, yet, but that will be coming up this week: Every Deep Desire by Sharon Wray (romantic suspense, but not at ALL what I expected), Death Below Stairs by Jennifer Ashley (enthralling new romantic mystery) and Deadly Sweet by Lola Dodge (baking witch YA).  I’m also starting a new meme on Thursdays, Down the TBR Hole, where I’ll be sorting through my TBR list on Goodreads and deciding whether books stay or go.

I’m happy to have finished out the year by finishing both of the SBTB Goodreads challenges, the Cover Hunt one early this morning, lol. Also, I completed my Goodreads goal for the year by surpassing my goal of 100 books by reading a whopping 203!  Where to go from here?  Well, I’ve set a goal for 218 books in 2018!  Let’s see if I can do it, huh?  I’ve also joined quite a few new challenges, some quarterly and some yearly, but I’ll talk about them later.

Coming up next week, I have a few books to read and review.  I’m super excited for The Ones Who Got Away, so much so that I saved it for my first book of the year.  Also, there’s quite a few good books coming out on the 2nd, including the last in Amanda Bouchet’s Kingmaker trilogy, and I am SO on that.

What are you looking forward to reading in 2018?
